Topaz Belt. Master Redirects.

Learn to read the play early, occupy high-value space and redirect passes, rebounds and teammate touches into goal.

The Topaz Belt is the seventh Air Belt. After learning to control and finish your own aerial attacks, this lesson teaches you to score from a play created by somebody else.

Team-Based Aerial Finishing

Score Without Being The Original Shooter.

A redirect begins with anticipation. You read the developing pass, rebound or teammate touch, move into a valuable scoring lane and meet the ball with a controlled change of direction.

This is not about luck. It is about positioning and timing.

01

Read The Trajectory Early

Identify where the pass or rebound is likely to travel before it reaches the final scoring area.

02

Attack High-Value Space

Move into the lane where a controlled contact can threaten goal rather than following directly behind the ball.

03

Redirect With Minimal Movement

Use a small, precise adjustment to change the ball’s path instead of rebuilding the entire aerial at the moment of contact.

Watch the complete lesson first, then use the training pack to focus on early positioning, clean approach lines and precise contact.

Why Redirects Matter

Good Team Offence Does Not Stall. It Connects.

Chances disappear when players wait behind the ball, react after the pass is already travelling or jump without a useful contact line.

Faster Goals From Team Plays

Meeting the pass before the defence resets turns developing pressure into an immediate finish.

Stronger Passing Chemistry

Early movement into useful space gives the teammate a clear target and makes the final pass easier to recognise.

More Dangerous Positioning

Occupying a scoring lane away from the ball forces defenders to cover both the original play and the incoming redirect.

Less Reliance On Solo Mechanics

Redirects let you convert another player’s touch instead of needing to create every aerial attack alone.

You do not score by doing everything yourself. You score by arriving at the right moment.

What Usually Goes Wrong

Four Mistakes That Make Redirects Reactive.

Redirects become inconsistent when the player waits too long, approaches from a flat line or tries to repair poor positioning with excessive mid-air movement.

Too Late

Jumping After The Window Opens

A late take-off forces a rushed contact and removes the time needed to shape the car accurately.

Flat Approach

Following Directly Behind The Ball

A flat line reduces the available angle and makes it harder to redirect the existing momentum toward goal.

Overcorrection

Rebuilding The Contact Mid-Air

Large adjustments make the final touch less predictable when better positioning could have required only a small correction.

Reaction Mentality

Waiting For The Pass Before Moving

The best redirect position often must be occupied before the final teammate touch confirms the ball’s exact path.

The Topaz Belt teaches you that redirects are about being early, not merely being fast.
Practice Method

Build The Contact From The Position.

The objective is not simply to touch the ball in the air. It is to recognise the scoring lane early, approach it cleanly and use the smallest adjustment needed at impact.

    Watch The Full Lesson

Understand the early read, approach lane and contact principles before opening the training pack.

  2. 02

    Identify The Scoring Space

Read where the pass or rebound can be redirected into goal before committing to the aerial.

  3. 03

    Approach On A Useful Angle

Move into a line that allows the incoming momentum to be changed with a controlled final touch.

Once aerial redirects become intentional, the Orange Belt teaches you to use the ground as the first rebound surface and convert the bounce into a controlled follow-up.
