Step 1: Free Fundamentals System
Build the Rocket League fundamentals that support The Pacifist System®: ground control, defensive structure, and aerial confidence.
- Ground System
- Defence System
- Aerial System
Start with the area you need most, then move to Step 2 when you’re ready to understand the full system.

Step 1: Free Fundamentals System
The Free Fundamentals System helps you build the core Rocket League skills that support The Pacifist System®.
Instead of randomly learning mechanics, the system gives you a structured path through three areas: ground control, defensive structure, and aerial confidence.
Each belt represents a specific skill or concept. Complete the proof for that belt in Discord to unlock the role and keep progressing.
The free fundamentals are divided into three systems:
Ground System
The Ground System focuses on controlled offensive ground play, which forms the foundation of strong Rocket League fundamentals.
Players learn mechanics such as:
- Ground Dribble
- Lateral Dribble/ Push
- Hook Shots
- Carries
- Bounce Dribbles
These mechanics build controlled offence, possession, and calmer decision-making on the ball.
Defence System
The Defence System focuses on defensive stability, pressure management, and staying useful when your team is under attack.
Players learn concepts such as:
- Shadow defence
- Facing outs
- Smart challenges
- 50/50 control
These fundamentals help players to survive pressure, slow opponents down, and prevent easy goals.
Defence System
A loop-based map of the core defensive concepts. Fakes feed into Shadowing or Facing Out. Shadowing and Facing Out can both rotate into each other, into Fakes, or into Challenging. Challenging is the end state of the sequence.
Air System
The Aerial System focuses on aerial control, confidence, and mechanical consistency in the air.
Players develop skills such as:
- Fast aerials
- Air control
- Air dribbles
- Redirects
These mechanics help players become calmer and more precise in the air, without skipping the ground and defensive fundamentals that come first.
Aerial System
A central Jab links into the four main aerial outcomes: Ceiling Shot, Air Dribble, Double Touch, and Flip Reset. The outer aerial layers also connect to each other in pairs.
Free Training Programs
Once players understand the systems, they can turn the belts into structured training routines.
These free programs give you clear daily practice instead of random freeplay or guessing what to work on next.
Grounded (4 Week Program)
Grounded is the training program for the Ground System.
It provides a structured four-week routine for building controlled offence, possession, and consistent ground mechanics.

Lockdown (4 Week Program)
Lockdown is the training program for the Defence System.
It focuses on defensive discipline, positioning, pressure management, and surviving difficult situations.

Flight (4 Week Program)
Flight is the training program for the Aerial System.
It helps players build aerial confidence, control, and mechanical consistency without skipping the ground and defensive fundamentals first.

Next Step: The Pacifist System® Book
Once you have started building the fundamentals, the next step is learning how to apply them inside the full 2v2 framework.
The book shows how mechanics connect to smarter decisions, positioning, pressure, and percentage-based play.
Inside the book, players learn concepts such as:
- Strategic patience
- Positional advantage
- Tempo control
- Percentage-based decisions
This is where the individual fundamentals become a complete playstyle.

Why Fundamentals Come First
The Pacifist System® is built on a simple principle: fundamentals first.
Before advanced strategy works, players need control, patience, defensive discipline, and repeatable mechanics.
That is why Step 1 starts with the Free Fundamentals System. Build the base first, then use the book to understand how those skills connect into a complete 2v2 playstyle.
